Visualyse Spectrum Manager
A New Product in the Visualyse Family The attempt to introduce market mechanisms to determine the value of spectrum leads to a requirement that spectrum is a tradable asset. A concept of service and technology neutrality emerges which means that a license holder can sell his license to someone who wants to change the use of the spectrum. Theoretically, removal of service limitations is a step towards an efficient market in spectrum. Practically of course it is more complex than just opening up spectrum for any use. Change of Use (CoU) is governed by technical criteria embodied in Spectrum Usage Rights (SURs) which capture the essential details of the license. Given these components Transfinite have shown how to map a wide range of services to our generic format – including:
Change from one license type to another is then limited by interference considerations to other users. Transfinite has developed a new software tool that supports the introduction of liberalization and trading. Visualyse Spectrum Manager, assesses applications for new licence or change of use applications for existing licences. It ensures that applications are consistent with the rules defined to protect existing assignments in the band and in adjacent bands.
Visualyse Spectrum Manager – User Interface Example. Database driven and with our usual attention to the interface, Spectrum Manager represents a powerful tool for study and administration of spectrum liberalization regimes. You can find much more about this subject and this software here |
