WRC 2007 Agenda Item Details

Agenda Item: Resolution 225
Resolution(s): Resolution 225
Description of work: This resolution relates to use of certain frequency bands between 1 525 MHz and 2 690 MHz allocated to the MSS for use by the satellite component of IMT-2000. It calls for sharing studies relating to use of these bands for satellite IMT-2000 and use of the spectrum by other services, such as terrestrial IMT-2000 (in particular around 2 500 - 2 690 MHz) and the radiodetermination-satellite service.
Lead Working Party(s): WP 8D
Involved Working Parties: WP 8B, WP 8D, WP 8F
How Visualyse products can help: Visualyse Professional can be used to model sharing between GSO and non-GSO components of satellite IMT-2000 with other services in the bands, including fixed service, mobile service (including terrestrial IMT-2000), other MSS systems, and radio-determination-satellite service.
How Transfinite consultants can help: We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the services covered by this resolution, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criterias, and provide contributions and representation at relevant ITU-R Working Parties. We have extensive experience of these sharing scenarios, and in particular have undertaken two studies of sharing between satellite and terrestrial components of IMT-2000 in the 2 500 - 2 690 MHz band.
