WRC 2007 Agenda Item Details

Agenda Item: Resolution 525
Resolution(s): Resolution 525
Description of work: This resolution relates to the introduction of broadcast satellite service (sound) systems and complementary terrestrial broadcasting in bands between 1 and 3 GHz. It calls upon studies of the calculation method and interference criteria for sharing between satellite and terrestrial broadcasting stations, and with other effected services.
Lead Working Party(s): WP 6S
Involved Working Parties: WP 4A, WP 6S, WP 7C, WP 7D, WP 8D, WP 8F, WP 9D
How Visualyse products can help: Visualyse Professional can be used to model sharing between satellite (including GSO, non-GSO and HEO) and terrestrial BSS (sound) services, and also with other services that could operate co-frequency.
How Transfinite consultants can help: We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the services covered by this resolution, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criterias, and provide contributions and representation at relevant ITU-R Working Parties. We have extensive experience of these sharing scenarios, and in particular have undertaken a study of sharing between BSS (sound) and IMT-2000 at around 2.6 GHz.
