WRC 2007 Agenda Item Details

Agenda Item: Resolution 734
Resolution(s): Resolution 734
Description of work: This resolution relates to the feasibility of use of high altitude platform stations (HAPS) in fixed and mobile service bands above 3 GHz allocated exclusively for terrestrial applications. It calls for regulatory and technical studies of methods to facilitate use of HAPS in these bands, taking into account terrestrial services in-band and other services in adjacent bands.
Lead Working Party(s): WP 9D
Involved Working Parties: WP 6E, WP 8A, WP 9A, WP 9D
How Visualyse products can help: Visualyse Professional can be used to study compatibility between HAPS services, in any of the relevant bands above 3 GHz, with terrestrial services such as fixed and mobile, including the aggregation from multiple HAPS systems.
How Transfinite consultants can help: We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the services covered by this resolution, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criterias, and provide contributions and representation at relevant ITU-R Working Parties. We have experience from work examining compatibility between a wide range of services, including fixed and mobile that allows us to analyse HAPS scenarios in detail.
