WRC 2007 Agenda Item Details

Agenda Item: Agenda 1.3
Resolution(s): Resolution 747 [COM7/9]
Description of work: This agenda item refers to bands between 9 and 10 GHz, where requirements have been identified for more spectrum to be available for: i) radiolocation, by raising its status in the 9 200 - 9300 MHz from secondary to primary, to be used in conjunction with existing primary allocations which include the 9 000 - 9 200 MHz and 9 300 - 9 800 MHz bands; ii) EESS, by allocating up to 200 MHz of additional spectrum around a current allocation at 9 500 - 9 800 MHz
Lead Working Party(s): WP 8B
Involved Working Parties: WP 3M, WP 7C, WP 8B
How Visualyse products can help: Visualyse Professional can model all the scenarios involved, including radiolocation, radionavigation, EESS (active), and the Space research (active) service, together with the fixed service that has a secondary allocation between 9 800 - 10 000 MHz.
How Transfinite consultants can help: We can undertake studies including analysis of sharing between the services covered by this agenda item, and identify suitable system characteristics and sharing criterias, and provide contributions and representation at relevant ITU-R Working Parties. We have experience of studying sharing between space services such as EESS and other services such as FS and FSS from a number of past projects.
